We have began a phased approach for reopening our doors. While we look forward to seeing everyone, we want to emphasize that we’re taking special precautions, with CDC Guidelines in mind, to reopen safely. Here’s what you can expect:

A Safer Reopening

Our team will do a deep clean of the entire church and thorough cleanings between services. If weather permits, we’ll leave entrances open, so there’s no need to touch door handles. Our team will wear face masks and gloves to protect others. Our team will be vigilant about cleaning and wiping down common spaces and touch points. You’ll notice signs we’ve hung around the church to help you follow our safety guidelines. Hand sanitizing stations will be set up throughout the church.

Attending Service

We ask that you arrive 15 minutes early to help maintain safe distances and overcrowding before the start of service. Check-in stations will be outside. A greeter will show you which entrance to use and where you will be seated.

Here are a few additional guidelines to follow:

  • We will check each person’s temperature at check-in and ask a series of questions to ensure that you are not symptomatic, have a fever, been in close contact with someone who has tested positive, or recently traveled internationally.
  • Please wear a mask to protect others. If you do not have one, the church has a limited supply but can provide a disposable mask.
  • Please distance yourself six feet away from those that are not in your family. Markers will be placed throughout the church to ensure social distancing.
  • Please avoid physical contact like handshaking and hugging
  • We have removed Bibles and Hymnals from the backs of pews, so please bring your own or use an app
  • We will not be passing around the offering plate. You may continue to give online or, for your convenience, offering plates will be placed at the entrance of the sanctuary where you may give as you enter the sanctuary.
  • At the end of service, you will be dismissed in an orderly manner. We ask that you not congregate in the parking lot after service.

We understand that some won’t feel comfortable returning to church gatherings just yet, and we stand by and respect each person’s decision. The CDC recommends those who are under quarantine (or living with someone under quarantine), not feeling well, over 65 years old, or have underlying health conditions, do not attend service. We will continue posting sermons and bible studies on our website, newcedargrovebaptistchurch.org.

We also want to say THANK YOU for your unwavering generosity. Your gifts allow our work and mission to continue during this challenging time for our community. Remember, you can continue your giving either online here.

We look forward to sharing the hope of Christ on Comeback Sunday.

Have a blessed day,

Prophetess Smith &
the New Cedar Grove Family

Sign-up for Services

We will have two service times on Sunday to comply with social distancing regulations. We will hold one-hour services at 10:00 am and Noon.  You can sign up for those services by choosing one here. We can accommodate 50 attendees per service, so sign up before the time you prefer fills up!
